I wanted to avoid a subscription model (don't really subscribe to subscription models for small-scale applications). Based on how the test group responded (privacy, usability, pricing etc), Google Calendar was a primary focus. As for pricing, it's mostly dictated by a few factors: Google (Calendar / SSO) pricing, Gumroad fees, and future development. I've built this to be easily extensible with new features and I'm excited to hear your ideas!
